The Norgemaststor, the great (or large) Norge mooring mast, was built in 1926 for the Norge transpolar airship flight. Amazingly, it is still standing near the present-day settlement of Ny Ålesund in the Svalbard Archipelago.
My friend, Paulus Veltman, in the Netherlands provided this picture. His website North-an Intuitive Arctic Exploration is a gem and well worth a visit.
